Delete your data
Delete from the app
Open Settings → Delete my data. Read the confirmation and, if you use iCloud, keep “Also delete iCloud library data” selected. Tap Delete data and wait for the completion message. Close an already-open share extension first.
What is removed
The action removes source content, summaries, notes, tags, screenshot files, processing records, app-owned temporary exports and pending shared items from this device. It also requests deletion of sessions and encrypted credentials for the connected Threads identity on the current connection server. Related combined summaries are removed when their source is deleted.
Other devices and retained records
When selected and available, iCloud content is replaced with content-free deletion records. Other devices need the updated app and a sync to apply deletion. Record IDs and deletion timestamps, app preferences and model files remain. Manually exported files, messages you shared, and support correspondence follow their separate deletion/retention process.
If deletion cannot finish
The app reports the failed stage and pauses automatic collection. Retry after restoring connectivity. If server authentication is no longer valid, reconnect Threads and retry deletion, or contact support. A failure is not shown as complete.
Request help without the app
Email imaezings@gmail.com with “ThreadShelf data deletion” and enough information to locate and verify your connection. Start with your Threads username and the connection server you used. We may request ownership verification; never send a password, access token or App Secret. The operator cannot remotely erase files held only on your device or copies you exported. Server backup retention: 7 days.
